Pelicans, Blue Herons and Dolphins

For Christmas, I gave my sweetie a voucher for a boat tour on the Indian River Lagoon & Estuary in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. I've been on it a few times before with friends and granddaughters but he had not.

Last Wednesday was the day we decided to go on the tour as the weather forecast looked promising. To say it was the perfect weather day is an understatement.  Here are some photos so you can be the judge and see for yourself. Enjoy!

It was a fabulous day and Ray was so thrilled to see parts of Florida from a different perspective. This is in our own backyard. We are so very lucky to live her.

Until next time, remember...

    1. While I have seen many manatees on this ride, I'd never gone in January and was told they go over to the warm springs near Ocala. Lesson learned. We will go back in April or May.

  7. Amazing pictures! Just breath taking. Also, I'm kind of giggling that a 'manatee zone' sign exists. Oh, just think of the evils you could do with that...

  8. Wow Bee Bee, you captured some great shots on your boat trip. I think I recognised a certain gentleman in that last photo! I think it is such a lovely idea to give presents like that, such as days out, or an 'experience' gift.

  9. Hello This! Yes, you did recognize a certain someone. What I loved about this boat tour is that the captain shut off the engines so we could see the dolphins and he walked around the boat chatting with everyone. Ray was enjoying learning about the different species we have around us here. Fabulous trip.
